About Upstart
| Upstart Inc. is a non-profit that was founded in 2000 by Carolyn Banks. Upstart Mission Statement, “To promote visual literacy and give voice to the people of Bastrop through media arts outreach and education.“
Upstart manages BCAT-TV and Upstart Media Arts Center (UMAC). Both are located in Bastrop at 1800 Linda Street. Upstart is available for hire for some production work as well.

Upstart also covers events for the Bastrop County Historical Society Museum.
We also shoot and broadcast meetings of the Bastrop City Council and Bastrop County Commission.
And for Bastrop Economic Development Corporation, we did BASTROP, WE'RE ON THE WAY! a tourism video photographed by Donald Banks.

BASTROP FOOTBALL, a play-to-play of home games that will be directed by Alex Lorenz, BISD, and sponsored by FIRST NATIONAL BANK of Bastrop, Elgin and Smithville, and AQUA WATER, two businesses that deserve your support. |
