GETTING GREAT SOUND ON-LOCATION

Learn the basics of on-location sound. Regardless of the equipment you have, these techniques can help you get better sound. Designed for the low-budget film crew, including producers, directors, PA, Boom Operators, Sound Mixers or anybody who wants to learn the basics of film sound.



Making a great film means having great acting, great lighting, great cinematopgraphy, and great sound. All elements work together, yet sound can make or break a great film. Learn how to work with the equipment you already own. This is a hands-on workshop, bring any on-location sound equipment you have so you can use it. If you don't have equipment, some equipment will be available to use.



Wayne_Brissette Lead by Wayne Brissette, a sound recordist who has been working in the audio field for over 25 years. Among his projects, he has worked documentaries for National Geographic, done several indie films, recorded live music for Rodney Crowell, Echo & the Bunnymen, and Austin City Limits Music Festival.



Wayne Brissette was a featured in Spring 2007 Issue of The Coffey Audio Files magazine. He's on page 53.
