STORY INTO SCRIPT: ADAPTATION will teach how to adapt a story or novel for the screen--what in the story to use, what to lose, how to translate the printed word--a character's interior monologue, for instance-- into something visual.



Includes lunch - sodas, coffee, and sandwich fixings.

WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR: Bonnie Orr is currently the VP for Development/Production at Studio Estates. Orr's script "Revenge of a Soccer Mom" was recently produced and shown on LifeTime Movie Network. She's also the writer and producer of "Poodle Dog Lounge." Orr has a master's in communication and a Ph.D. in marketing/advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. Her latest script is an adaptation of a book by David Marion Wilkinson called "The Empty Quarter" which she co-wrote with David Marion Wilkinson and Todd Allen. She's taught many popular workshops in screenwriting.
