Many exciting things are happening at Upastart...
1. July 5, 12, 19, 26 SKITCOM at the UMAC. Come script,
shoot, edit and air short comedy bits for Bastrop Community
Access Television (BCAT, Time Warner Channel 10 in
Bastrop). Carolyn Banks will teach this four-part course
through BISD. It'll run from 10 am to noon each Saturday
morning, $100. Register through BISD at (512)308-1601.
2. July 31 - 7 pm at the Opera House. Silent Movie Night,
jointly
sponsored by Upstart and Bastrop Opera House. Bill Owens
will play old-time piano to accompany a great silent film
that will have you rolling in the aisles.
3. August 6 - 7 pm at the UMAC, Hollywood agent Rima Greer
will tell us the inside story about Hollywood agenting.
Find out how to get your script read and sold! $30 before
July 15, $35 after. Includes a free copy of Rima Greer's
book, THE REAL, LOW DOWN, DIRTY TRUTH ABOUT HOLLYWOOD
AGENTING.
AND...Coming in October: HAUNTED HOUSE, circus acts, DAY OF
THE DEAD EXHIBIT, and SPECIAL EFFECTS EXPO at the UMAC.
