Upstart's "Bastrop" voted best documentary!

The WILD Film Festival in McAllen voted "Bastrop: The First
175 Years" the Best Documentary. The guy who runs the
festival, Tom Fuschetto, said: "We all appreciate your
wonderful film. Bastrop may get Valley vacationers as a
result of its screening down here." We also took 3rd place
overall. Mona Sizer, who lives in Harlingen, accepted on
Upstart's behalf.
Michael Waxman directed this movie, made by Upstart here in
Bastrop. It was written and produced by Carolyn Banks.
Jessica Gardner was Director of Photography and editor.
Joel Kabik and Vanessa Webb starred in the movie, which was
commissioned by The City of Bastrop.
