Upstart class-- ADAPTATION: STORY INTO SCRIPT

January 23, 2007

Bonnie Orr class will be teaching ADAPTATION: STORY INTO
SCRIPT on Saturday Feb 17 from 10 to 4, $75 includes lunch.

The course is about adapting a short story into a script,
and it includes viewing two shorts made from the same short
story by William Browning Spencer! Lots of features have
been made from short stories. It's a great way to discover
a story arc that works for you, whether you want to write a
feature script or a short. And learning what to change from
a form that's meant to be read to a form meant to be seen
is a great way to learn the basics of writing for the
screen.

Send check to Upstart, PO Box 365, Bastrop TX 78602.

Course will be at
UMAC
1800 Linda Street,
Bastrop, Texas
Phone 303.1531 for info.

Also on Feb 25, Sidney Brammer will host BAGDAD CAFÉ and
talk about why she thinks the movie's great. This Sunday
matinee is the start of an Upstart quarterly series and
it's free. PLEASE COME.

Both courses are at the UMAC, 1800 Linda Street, Bastrop
(corner of Cypress and Linda). You can pay for the Bonnie
Orr course by PAYPAL, just go to http://www.UpstartInc.org
