MAKE MOVIES!
Upstart is committed to making Bastrop the “short film
capital of Texas” and, with that in mind, we want to offer
everyone who is interested the chance to make a movie with
us!
You can email upstart@austin.rr.com and come to our
December 2 production meeting, then work on a real movie
crew the weekends of December 9 and 10, and 16 and 17.
Upstart is also going to be offering a variety of
movie-making courses throughout 2007 so that you can get
started making movies.
Upstart runs the local Time Warner cable channel for the
City of Bastrop. We call it BCAT, which stands for Bastrop
Community Access Television. For very little money, you can
become a producer. This means you get to use our cameras,
computer editing systems, microphones, lights and studio
space and have your movies shown on BCAT, Time Warner
channel 10. Call 321.2496 for more information.
