Two PC Editing Workshops Nov. 18th!

Upstart presents two editing courses in one day for PC 
users. Each course is $30 or get both for $50. Taught by 
Nerissa Oden (see below).  
 
November 18th 
10am-11:30am 
"Turn Photos into Videos in 5 Minutes" 
This short workshop will teach photo-to-video for 
beginners. We encourage representatives from non-profit 
organizations to join us to learn how to turn photos into 
short video PSAs (Public Service Announcements) for 
broadcast on BCAT-TV. Public also invited to learn for 
personal home use or join BCAT-TV to get your videos on the 
air!! Class will cover getting photos into Windows Movie 
Maker, arranging photos, then finishing your project to 
video. BCAT-TV video submission requirements will also be 
covered. 
(You're welcome to bring a laptop that runs Windows XP -but 
NOT required.) 
 
November 18th 
12:30pm-3:30pm 
"Learn Windows Movie Maker" 
For complete beginners. This 3 hour workshop will 
demonstrate and explain Windows Movie Maker. Capture, edit, 
and finish. Windows Movie Maker is a free video editing 
software that is included in every version of Windows XP. 
(You're welcome to bring a laptop that runs Windows XP -but 
NOT required.) 
 
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Nerissa Oden is the workshop leader 
and is known as The Video Queen. She has been using and 
training people on free software and affordable videomaking 
for the past 6 years. Before that she worked as a 
professional film and video editor for 12 years.
