Call for Short Comedy Bits (no deadline)

Upstart, a nonprofit media arts organization in Bastrop, is
soliciting really short comedy bits--one page max-- that
would be easy to produce. Our goal is to make a huge number
of these shorts for public access tv and maybe for festival
submission, including our own annual Golden Pine Cone Film
Festival.
What do we want? Here's an example:
Pretty woman wearing sexy clothes leans up against pole,
one arm at her hip, one arm over her head, hip cocked.
Sailor walks by.
WOMAN: Hey, sailor, want to come to my place?
SAILOR: (He looks her up and down) Sure!
She walks away from pole in the same position she had been
in when leaning. Obviously her body is frozen in this pose.
Because of the hip that's cocked, she limps badly.
This was a funny bit (politically incorrect these days) I
saw on LAUGH IN years ago. But it's SO easy to produce. I
want to make these kinds of bits and run them on BCAT in
Bastrop.
Writers would get full credit if we make the bit. And maybe
we could gather several of these and audition actors by
actually filming them in a bit that would suit them on one
day.
But also, students who want to come to learn to direct
could try their hand at working with actors. Then the
master teacher, whom we'd hire for the day, would direct it
and give a critique of the direction. Then the student
director could try again. We'd all get something out of it,
and these bits wouldn't be the lengthy ordeal for any of us
that a real movie would involve.
First we need to gather the bits.

deadline. We want you to keep them coming. We'll show the
ones that get filmed at our Golden Pine Cone Film Festival
in the spring and we'll have the audience vote for their
favorite ones and give awards at this time. NO ENTRY FEE to
send a script, but make sure you send your email address so
that, when we have the directing workshop with the actors,
