COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD

BCAT offers a free community bulletin board listing for any upcoming noncommercial event. Thanks to Bluebonnet Electronic Cooperative, we have a new message board system. Unlike our old bulletin board, our new board can hold eye-catching imagery and pleasing graphics. THANK YOU Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative for donating the funds for this community message board!

Instructions for submitting your community message to BCAT-TV:

1. All messages must be received at least one week before you’d like them to start appearing on the air. The earlier you get them to us, the more time we have to be creative with your messages.

2. All messages must be submitted in some form of typographical text such as:
e-mail to upstart@austin.rr.com, typed, handwritten or computer print out on paper aka hard copy (these you can give to Jessica Gardner or Carolyn Banks or mail to Upstart, P.O. Box 365, Bastrop, Tx 78602) Telephone messages left on our answering machine will not be accepted. Heresay and rumor will not be accepted.

3. E-mail attachments of flyers, brochures, logos, etc. must be formatted in MS Word, PDF, Pages, Appleworks, HTML, Jpeg, Gif, or PNG.

4. We reserve the right to edit your message for content size and presentation.

5. You should include at least a date of event, time/hours, location/address, sponsorship credit, theme/title of said event, phone number for further information. Other information that’s helpful to the viewers might be restrictions (i.e.,- no alcoholic beverages sold or allowed or B.Y.O.B. or limited parking, tickets in advance)

6. We will accept any graphics, art or photos submitted but will use them with consideration to space and aesthetic value.

If you have to revise something on the bulletin board, be advised that this could take a minimum of a week due to the way our graphics are done. SO TRY TO PUT EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO SAY IN YOUR INITIAL WRITTEN MESSAGE and make sure you've spelled everything correctly. And again, include your phone number just in case.
