“COMMUNITY FEATURES FOR TELEVISION” (class)

Life is filled with interesting people and goings-on. Learn how to interview people and document events on video, edit your tape in iMovie and get your show on the air. Graduates of this course will get a three-month producership at Bastrop Community Access Television so they’ll be able to borrow equipment and air what they make in class on BCAT, Time-Warner channel 10.

This course will be taught by fiction writer and video maker Carolyn Banks. Banks is the writer and producer of “Bastrop: The First 175 Years,” which can be viewed on Time-Warner Ch.10 and online at http://www.upstart.citymax.com/tourism.html

Carolyn Banks is the author of a series of humorous equestrian mysteries: Death by Dressage, Groomed for Death, Murder Well Bred, Death on the Diagonal, and A Horse to Die For, all of which have been re-releases by Amber Quill Press. In addition, Carolyn has written Mr. Right (a smart-ass parafeminist psycho-erotic thriller), The Darkroom, and Girls on the Row.

Banks edits a monthly magazine and has had articles in Redbook, Sports Illustrated and other national magazines.
