Budding filmmakers, take note!

On Saturday, June 24, Upstart will present an all-day workshop on “Developing The Low Budget Feature Script,” with STACY SCHOOLFIELD and KAT CHANDLER.

Kat Candler and Stacy Schoolfield are stars in independent film and have written, directed and produced documentaries as well as narrative movies. Candler’s “Jumping Off Bridges” debuted at SXSW and Schoolfield’s “Rescue Me” has long been airing on Bastrop Community Access Television (BCAT) to great praise.

The duo will talk about choosing scripts, scaling major scenes down to manageable proportions, casting, putting together the right elements, fundraising. They’ll also answer all of your questions about your script ideas.
